Daisy Dunn: A New History of the Ancient World Through the Women Who Shaped It

Award-winning classicist and author Daisy Dunn joins the festival with her new book The Missing Thread: A Women's History of the Ancient World. Spanning 3,000 years, from the birth of Minoan Crete to the death of the Julio-Claudian dynasty in Rome, Dunn's book is a magisterial new history of the ancient world told, for the very first time, through women. She will be in discussion with the celebrated writer and broadcaster Natalie Haynes.
