Impersonation Scam Alert!

Dear authors, we have been made aware of a scam that has been circulating to hundreds of authors around the world purporting to be an invitation to participate in the Queen's Park Book Festival.

The scam is being sent from bookfestivalqueenpark@gmail.com and claims to be signed by Festival Director Thomas du Plessis.

Authors are being invited to the festival and are being requersted to pay a fee in $ for participation. No authors are ever requested to pay in order to participate in the festival.

We have reported this Phishing scam to Google and the Cyber Security Centre to try and get it shut down. If you receive an email from this address, or a similar email address, please report the Phishing attempt directly to Google.

We apologise for this scam and are doing everything we can to shut it down. Thank you for your understanding.

All submissions must be received by 31 March 2026 for consideration in the 2026 festival.
