Lee Jackson is an author and historian, fascinated by the Victorian city, the creator of www.victorianlondon.org.His most recent books are Walking Dickens London (Shire Books: 2012) and Dirty Old London (Yale University Press: 2014). His latest work on the Victorian leisure industry, Palaces of Pleasure: Entertaining the Victorians will be published in 2019. He is currently researching a PhD on ‘Dickens’ London’ and heritage/tourism, in conjunction with the Dickens Museum.
