Illustrator & Author
David Fathers was born in the north-east of England and has lived in London for the past forty years. About a decade ago, as an avid walker, cyclist and artist, he began to explore, draw and map some of the waterways of the capital. To date he has illustrated, written and designed three guidebooks to The Regent’s Canal, The London Thames Path and London’s Hidden Rivers (Frances Lincoln). His next illustrated guidebook, entitled Bloody London, will be published by Bloomsbury next year. He is an occasional contributor to Londonist.com.
Psychogeographers, writers and historians David Fathers, Ted Sandling and Steve Crabb discuss the fascinating discoveries they’ve made with the actor and writer Michael Simkins.
