Caroline Smith

Caroline Smith lives in Wembley. Her most recent book, The Immigration Handbook (Seren) was shortlisted for the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry.

‘The immigration Handbook was certainly the most moving and inspiring book of poems I read last year. It really is a major book of political poems. I find it hard to think of a comparably successful achievement in that area.’
Bernard O’Donoghue

‘Daring, intelligent and well-judged’ – Under the Radar.

Now with a new USA edition and being translated into Swedish, The Immigration Handbook was one of the choices of the Forward Arts Foundation for National Poetry Day.
